ARTHUR J. STRAUSS, MD
American Board of Emergency Medicine Certified

Dr. Strauss is a residency trained, board certified Emergency Physician. He has been in practice at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital since 1999. Dr. Strauss is currently the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and serves as Secretary for the group. He is also the current medical director for the Tactical Police Team unit of the Fairbanks Police Department.

Dr. Strauss' Emergency Medicine residency training was completed at the University of New Mexico. He earned his Medical degree from the University of East Carolina School of Medicine. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington, NC with a B.A. in Psychology. Dr. Strauss has been active in the governance of the Medical Staff at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital throughout his tenure, with special attention to patient access to care issues.

Dr. Strauss' outside interests include a wide array of Alaskan adventures including hunting, fishing, and exploring Prince William Sound from a remote cabin in Ellamar, AK.
